Using a saw to cut your boards using some type of saw is the fastest and most common method to cutting laminate flooring but like anything else it does have its drawbacks.

This removes the groove which you ll re create in the next step. Get your groove back. The advantage to a table saw is that your cut will be completely clean and sharp giving your joint a nice fit. Set up your table saw and cut your boards to 6 inches by 48 inches long.

We cut the boards and dry fitted them in the room to make sure we had the right number of boards. This needs to be cut to 1 1 8 inch thick. Measure the face width of the existing flooring add the width of its tongue then set the table saw s fence that same distance away from the blade.

It will make laying them much easier.
